We measured the real mobile speed in Tokyo Harajuku, from Harajuku, on 18/06/2026. With our eSIM connected to NTT Docomo on 5G, the test shows 67.00 Mbps download, 22.40 Mbps upload and 188 ms latency. That is very strong 5G, measured in real travel conditions.
To put that in context: at 67 Mbps an offline map downloads in seconds, a video call runs without a stutter and HD video starts instantly. Most travellers use only a fraction of this bandwidth.
In Tokyo Harajuku, the connection easily handles GPS, video calls, social media, tethering and streaming.
