Coverage in Armenia
Armenia has solid 4G coverage across Yerevan and the main tourist areas including Geghard, Lake Sevan, Dilijan and the temple circuit. VivaCell MTS has the widest reach, Ucom is strong in the cities. 5G is still emerging and not widely deployed for tourists. The country is small enough that any main operator covers the key sites; coverage only thins in the high mountain border areas.

The verdict
The verdict
Our eSIM wins when: you want to land in Yerevan connected without a queue, especially for a short city or temple-circuit trip.
A local SIM wins when: you want the lowest possible price, which is very low in Armenia, or you need the widest reach across the whole country, where VivaCell MTS is the safe pick.
On the competition: Armenia is a small country and any main operator covers the tourist circuit well. The choice is less about network and more about convenience: a travel eSIM for instant connection, or a local SIM for rock-bottom prices.
Bottom line: For most Armenia trips, either a travel eSIM or a cheap local VivaCell SIM works well. The eSIM wins on convenience; the local SIM wins on price. Armenia is small and well-covered, so coverage anxiety is not really a factor here.
