Coverage in Bangladesh
Bangladesh runs mainly on 4G, with 5G just beginning: Grameenphone and Robi launched 5G in September 2025 in limited urban areas, while Banglalink and Teletalk have not. For travellers, 4G is what you will use almost everywhere. Grameenphone has the widest reach, including the best rural availability at around 75%, and is the only network reliably reaching remote areas like the Bandarban Hill Tracts. Robi leads on 5G speed in the cities. Coverage is solid across Dhaka, Chattogram and Cox's Bazar, but thins out in the hill tracts and deep rural areas where Grameenphone is the safe bet.
