Coverage in Indonesia
Indonesia spans 17,000+ islands, so coverage is the whole story. Java and Bali have excellent 4G (95%+ with Telkomsel, XL and Indosat), with real-world Bali 4G speeds around 15-40 Mbps, ample for maps, streaming and remote work. 5G is still limited, mostly Jakarta's CBD and parts of Bali, so 4G is what matters for most travellers. Remote islands such as Nusa Penida, Komodo and Raja Ampat can be patchy or have no service; on those, Telkomsel is the only carrier with a real chance of signal.
